Our work iPad arrived today and I called up Orange to sort out the SIM activation. All of a sudden I was being asked for my birth day, home addresses, employment status etc. Turns out that although they offer daily data plans for the iPad, it is still billed as a contract although their advertising implies otherwise. Eight years after leaving Orange whilst being a high paying customer (>£65/month) it seems that again I have been misled, but at least not over charged as I'll be taking our business elsewhere.
